SEVENTH GRADE SCIENCE

Seventh grade scientists at MQH investigate Biology, the study of life.  We have a brand new, 2008 text book, but that hasn't kept us from doing lots of experiments and activities.  We start the year reviewing scientific method and math, especially metrics.  As the year progresses, we move from Cell Biology to Genetics and Evolution and into Human Physiology and Anatomy.  Toward Spring we'll become Zoologists and Botanists.  This year will be enriched by our new Smart Board, but our main emphasis will be on DOING SCIENCE!

Is there a correlation between height and foot size?

Let's graph it!

Students cooperate creating cells.

We measure everything using the metric system.

Students learned to appreciate their opposable thumbs!

The skin is the largest organ in the body-

 let's measure it, too!
