·         This text is considered to be the standard in teaching   

        algebraic concepts and problem solving.  I have used

        this book for 13 years and my students have been very

        successful in high school mathematics courses.

·         I use Algebra tiles and lab gear to clarify and   

        demonstrate some concepts.  Also, the SmartBoard is

        useful in presenting new material.
