Our Curriculum:

Eighth Grade Social Studies covers US history, economic, and cultural trends from Civil War to Modern Day.  We will focus on the course of events, influential people, American development, the Industrial Age, and the World Wars.

In Eighth Grade Religion we will be studying The Story of Our Church spanning from the early followers of Christ to modern day.  Emphasizing the growths within the church as well as the role the church played in the history of the world. Also, as part of Eighth Grade Religion we will prepare the students for the sacrament of Confirmation; through prayer, service, and study.

Seventh Grade Social Studies covers US geography, history, and culture from Native American occupation up to the Civil War.  We will focus on the course of events, influential people, cultural trends, and the American Government.

I Seventh Grade Religion we will be studying The Story of Jesus which stretches from the Mystery of the Incarnation to the Paschal Mystery threaded very heavily with the New Testament.  The emphasis is on trying to understand the practices and preaching of Christ within the context of His era and applying it to modern day.

Sixth Grade Social Studies is a survey of history and cultures spanning from Ancient Egypt through Feudalistic Europe.  We study course of events, lifestyles, economics, technologies, and political systems.  We will not be simply learning facts and dates; the goal is to come to a thorough understanding of historic and cultural trends, as well as developing studying skills, analytic skills, and research skills that can be used in multiple subjects.

In Sixth Grade Religion we will be studying the Old Testament and Basic Beliefs of the Church.  We will focus on the Journey of the Israelites, it’s application to modern day, and how the roots of the Catholic Church are tied into our religious ancestors, the Israelites.
