Mary, Queen of Heaven students serve the school, parish and community through the many activities sponsored by the MQH Student Council.  Class representatives are chosen by vote to represent students in grades K-8.  Officers are also chosen by vote from students in grades 7 & 8 who campaign for individual offices.  Voters are students in grades 4-8.

Student Council serves the school through fund-raising activities such as out-of-uniform days, which raise money used to purchase items for the school such as the art pictures seen throughout the school and new crucifixes for the renovated classrooms.  Other funds are donated to various charities.

Student Council also is interactive within the local community holding various food drives for the St. Vincent de Paul Society and involvement with the local fire department…Point Pleasant.

Members of the student council frequently serve as student ambassadors for the parish and school, greeting guests at the annual Knights of the Round Table and conducting personal tours through the school at the various Open House events.  Several times throughout the year, students make greeting cards for the parishioners of MQH who are ill.
